This 132,000 sf ambulatory care center was developed as the new outpatient portal on this existing and well-established campus.  The building has a connecting link back to the main inpatient hospital building.  This link and associated parking expansion establishes the north side of the campus as the front door and branded image for the medical center.

A state of the art, 22,000 sf ambulatory surgical unit located on the 2nd floor contains (4) fully-equipped operating suites, (2) endoscopy rooms, and (2) pain procedure rooms.  Amenities include a family waiting room with separate private zoned seating areas; a fireplace, a children’s play area, a business center, and a visitor coffee and nourishment area.  For patient comfort and privacy there are separate preparation areas for patients prior to procedures, semi-private recovery areas, and 8-Stage (2) private recovery rooms.  Soothing, contemporary finishes, furniture, accessories, lighting, and artwork were all selected to insure that the patient and visitor experience is as pleasant as possible. The sage green and warm earth tone contrast the palettes typically found in most surgery centers and creates a relaxing and calm environment.

This center creates new outpatient services as well as consolidates administrative uses that were previously taking up valuable areas in the inpatient setting.  Strategically the building was designed to enhance physician recruiting by adding much needed new physician space on the medical campus.  Over twelve physician and specialty practices have relocated to the upper floors of the building.
